After a quiet winter with family and friends, the staff at Aegean Homes very much look forward to the re-opening of bars and restaurants in the local area! We are very lucky to have such a variety of excellent quality establishments on our doorstep and have decided to introduce you to our favourite places!
Karma Bar
A gem of a find, tucked away up a little alleyway in Lindos, this bar is unique. It offers a distinctively Caribbean feel yet customers can enjoy traditional Lindian surroundings, either in the pretty courtyard or the ‘winter room'. With an excellent selection of drinks available, in particular the Caribbean rum punch, authentic reggae music and ethnic sounds, a warm welcome awaits you and your family. Come and join us every Sunday for a delicious barbeque and meet Nicky and David together with some of the staff from Aegean Homes. Med East Restaurant, Lindos
Situated on the hill leading from the square, Med East boasts one of the most beautiful views of Lindos and the bay. The restaurant is beautifully furnished with a large outside deck style eating area. Med East offers a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. The food is delicious and varied, and as the name suggests the menu offers a wonderful selection of Mediteranean dishes with an Eastern influence. The wine list is equally diverse. Manolis offers a charming and friendly service, and late night guests are often treated to an impromptu guitar performance! We highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out.
Arhontiko Restaurant, Lindos
One of our favourite restaurants, Arhontiko blends charm, tradition, warmth and excellent food with an unerring eye for detail. Dimitris and Flora have created a delightful atmosphere inside their traditional Lindian Captain's House. Guests can enjoy beautiful artefacts and stunning surroundings. Exquisite international cuisine and a delightful variety of carefully selected wines, together with Dimitris and Floras' genuine welcomes ensure we keep on returning year after year!
Atmosphere Bar, Lindos
As the name suggests, this bar situated at the top of the village, is the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere of the ancient village of Lindos. The view is majestic, the service genuine and friendly, the drinks top quality and the atmosphere perfect, day and night. We like to watch the sun disappear behind the hill and the colours on the acropolis fade with a large glass of deliciously chilled wine and the company of Clare, Stavros and Nikos. Sometimes we are still there well into the night as the party atmosphere takes over!
Maria's Taverna, Tsambika
Nestled amongst olive trees, Maria's Taverna is so delicious we visit summer and winter! If you are looking for genuine Greek food with genuine Greek hospitality then this is the place for you. Unpretentious and modest, Maria's offers simple home cooked traditional Greek dishes and is perfect for families and gatherings. An outside play area ensures children are well catered for, and if you want to be where the Greeks are then head here for a lingering Greek Sunday lunch with local wine and ouzo and even fresh eggs or homemade bread to take away with you. Run by the lovely Maria, we are all very fond of her friendly welcome and delicious food.
